In May 2015, Vietnam exported textiles and clothing to US$1.709 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.69%, and a month-on-month increase of 67.44%. It exported 87,700 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 28.51%, and a month-on-month increase of 59.30%.
From January to May 2015, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports were US$6.985 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 7.92%; yarn exports were 331,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.18%.
From January to May 2015, Vietnam imported 410,200 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 22.70%; imported yarn 289,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.01%; imported fabrics of US$3.727 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.21%.
