On June 15, 2017, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and iFashioning jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made women’s silk scarves.
This recall of iFashioning women’s fashion silk scarves. This scarf was sold on Amazon.com with the slogan “iF silk, elegant and fashionable, 100% silk scarf”. Scarf is approximately 64 inches long and 19 inches wide. Available in the following colors and styles: black blue, black pink, black white, floral beige, coffee, colorful purple blue beige; Leaves purple silver, Paisley black red, purple, romantic bouquet pink and rose purple black. There are no tags on the scarf.
Only about 2,000 units of the recalled products were sold in the www.Amazon.com online store from October 2015 to April 2017. The unit price is about US$11~14. The reason for the recall is that the product does not meet the requirements of the US Federal Regulations on the Flammability Standards for Apparel and Textiles and poses a risk of burns. So far, no reports of accidents or personal injuries related to this product have been received.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact the company for a full refund. iFashioning and Amazon will directly contact consumers who have purchased the product.
