As the average export unit price of Brazilian cotton fell to 72.64, Brazilian cotton export volume increased by 141.0% year-on-year in January this year, and exports to China reached 9,457 tons, the second highest level in the same period in history, with a year-on-year increase of 172.8%, and exports to other markets. Export volume has also increased to varying degrees.
As of January this year, Brazilian cotton has exported a total of 631,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 84.7%. At present, it is not a problem for Brazilian cotton to complete USDA’s export target of 740,000 tons. However, China’s foreign cotton demand will become the biggest variable for Brazilian cotton exports in the future.
