The notifying country in this case is Greece. The children’s clothing set included in this notification includes pants, shirts and sweatshirts. Among them, the pants are blue with yellow drawstrings; the shirt is light gray with orange and green lettering; the sweatshirt is dark gray with blue sleeves and orange, blue and green Decorated with lettering, hood and 2 pockets. The above children’s suits are suitable for children aged 8 to 14 years old. The style/model of the above children’s suit is: H-1230. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development industry classification code (OECD Portal Category) is 67000000 (clothing).
The above-mentioned children’s suits may easily bring the risk of injury to children. When a child is moving, the drawstring around the waist may trap him or her, causing injury to the child. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN14682.
At present, the importer has taken voluntary corrective measures for this product; the Greek authorities have also taken compulsory measures for this product to continue to be sold only after it meets the requirements.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
