On November 14, 2014, the European Commission’s Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) issued a consumer warning on Chinese-made “AOLES” brand children’s jackets. The notifying country in this case is Hungary. The children’s jacket reported this time has a blue and gray pattern and is a hooded and zippered children’s jacket. The hood section is zippered and comes with a long cord to adjust the size, this children’s jacket comes in size 152. The style/model number of this children’s jacket is YF9277. The above products belong to 67000000 (clothing) in the OECD Portal Category.
The above-mentioned children’s jackets can easily pose a suffocation risk to children. The zippers and long ropes of the hood can easily strangle children’s necks, thus posing a suffocation risk. This product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN14682.
At present, the Hungarian authorities have taken compulsory measures to withdraw from the market and recall the above-mentioned products.
To this end, it is recommended that relevant domestic production and export enterprises attach great importance to this.
