The above-mentioned pajamas contain azo dye Disperse Yellow 23 (CI26070) which releases an excessive amount of aromatic amine 4-aminoazobenzene (detection value is 567 mg/kg). Aromatic amines can be absorbed into the skin when the product is in direct, prolonged contact with the skin. Aromatic amines can cause cancer, cell mutations and affect reproduction. This product does not comply with the requirements of the EU REACH regulation.
At present, importers have taken recall, ban on sales and other related measures from consumers for the above products.
