Linhai: Clothing exports are rising steadily

From home appliances to clothing, the words “Made in China” can be said to be familiar to the whole world. If you pick up a piece of clothing at random in an American supermarket, you may find that this piece of clothing comes from China, and it comes from Taizhou.
In the workshop of Linhai Yayi Clothing Co., Ltd., workers are busy producing. This batch of clothing will soon be exported across the ocean to the United States. Compared with the low-cost labor in countries such as India, Vietnam, and the Philippines, domestic labor costs are rising year by year. In order to seize the market and save costs, the company leader Jin Chongbiao began to find another way.
Jin Chongbiao of Linhai Yayi Clothing Co., Ltd.: “We develop from the aspect of product extension. We originally made ready-made garments, so we develop from upstream knitting and fabric printing, and go to upstream extension to control costs.”
Using technology, fabrics, services and industrialized production to balance the competitive disadvantages caused by high labor costs, from January to August this year, Yayi’s total export value was 810,000 yuan.
According to Taizhou Customs statistics, from January to August this year, Linhai enterprises exported a total of 90.71 million yuan in clothing and clothing accessories, a significant increase of 60.2% compared with the same period last year.
Fan Kuangyan, Business Department of Taizhou Customs Linhai Office: “Judging from the entire export data of our Linhai City, the export of the garment industry is relatively fast. On the one hand, the performance of our main market is relatively stable, and on the other hand, our exports are relatively stable. Emerging markets export relatively quickly.”
Among them, exports to the United States were 42.43 million yuan, an increase of 42.7%, and exports to the European Union were 9.012 million yuan, an increase of 61.5%. The good performance of several major export markets has laid the foundation for the rapid growth of Linhai garment industry exports.
