Textile and apparel exports to emerging markets are accelerating

In the first half of the year, affected by the economic weakness of emerging market countries and regions, the growth rate of China’s textile and apparel exports dropped rapidly by 11.8 percentage points compared with last year, with a year-on-year growth of only 4.1%. In July, China’s textile and apparel exports achieved a rapid growth of 9.7%, driven by emerging market countries and regions. Among them, exports to Africa grew the fastest, with a year-on-year increase of 29%; exports to Latin America increased by 12.46% year-on-year; exports to Russia and India increased by 23.49% and 17.5% respectively. Data show that textile and apparel exports to emerging markets are accelerating.
