News: Textile and apparel exports increased by .% year-on-year

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, my country’s exports of textiles and clothing in August 2014 were approximately US$30.533 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.89%. The growth rate decreased by 0.78 percentage points from the previous month and 5.11 percentage points from the same period last year; it increased by 0.61% month-on-month. The growth rate decreased by 17.72 percentage points from the previous month and 0.72 percentage points from the same period last year. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$9.964 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.14%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, and a decrease of 10.6 percentage points from the same period last year; a month-on-month decrease of 1.42%, a decrease of 10.57 percentage points from the previous month. A decrease of 0.55 percentage points from the same period last year; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$20.57 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.27%, an increase of 1.58 percentage points less than the previous month, and a decrease of 2.39 percentage points from the same period last year; a month-on-month increase of 1.63%, an increase of 21.89% less than the previous month percentage points, a decrease of 1.46 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
From January to August 2014, my country’s total exports of textiles and clothing reached US$193.383 billion, an increase of US$10.437 billion compared with the same period last year. It increased by 5.71% year-on-year, and the growth rate decreased by 7.2 percentage points compared with the same period last year.
