Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports increased by .% year-on-year

In July 2014, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports amounted to US$2.146 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.17% and a month-on-month increase of 13.48%. It is estimated that the export value of textile and clothing in August 2014 will be 2.15 billion US dollars.
From January to July 2014, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$11.623 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.58%.
In July 2014, Vietnam imported 50,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 4.17%; imported 63,000 tons of yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 4.55%; and imported fabrics of US$835 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.87%. It is estimated that in August 2014, 45,000 tons of cotton will be imported, 65,000 tons of yarn will be imported, and fabric imports will cost US$800 million.
From January to July 2014, Vietnam imported 451,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 32.65%; imported yarn 424,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.16%; imported fabrics of US$5.455 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.23%.
