Direct investment in countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt increased by %

This fully demonstrates the huge potential of Chinese enterprises to go global.
He said at the “International Symposium on the Silk Road Economic Belt” held here that only a few commodities such as silk, tea, porcelain, spices, jewelry, and medicinal materials were traded on the ancient Silk Road. Today, the volume of trade on the Silk Road is no longer the same as before. In the past 10 years, the trade volume between China and countries along the economic belt has grown at an average annual rate of 21%, which is 6 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of China’s foreign trade during the same period, and its proportion in China’s total foreign trade has increased from 9% to 14%.
Li Pumin, Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, introduced at the meeting that in 2013, the total import and export trade between China and countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt was more than 600 billion US dollars, accounting for about 15% of China’s total foreign trade. The foundation for cooperation in this field is sound, with great room for cooperation and potential for growth. China has become the largest trading partner of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, the second largest trading partner of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine, and the third largest trading partner of Tajikistan.
Zhong Shan said that in the joint construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt, China will guide traditional industries such as light industry, textiles, and building materials, as well as equipment manufacturing and high-tech industries to invest and build factories in countries along the economic belt, while expanding development space. , to help countries along the economic belt increase employment and tax revenue, and improve the level of industrialization.
In response to the recent 2nd Xinjiang Work Symposium, it was emphasized that Xinjiang should build the core area of ​​the Silk Road Economic Belt.
Zhong Shan said that the Ministry of Commerce will continue to support Xinjiang’s expansion of opening to the west and give full play to Xinjiang’s unique and important role in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
