According to the Voice of Vietnam report on April 23, Vietnam’s Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Hui Huang recently approved the “Vietnam Textile Industry Development Plan by 2020, Focusing on 2030”. The plan is clear. In 2015, the localization rate will reach 55%, the export volume will be 23-24 billion US dollars, and 2.5 million jobs will be created.
In addition, it is clear that employment in the textile industry will shift to rural areas with abundant labor resources and convenient transportation conditions; metropolitan cities will focus on fashion design, services, and supply of raw and auxiliary materials.
