According to multiple Ukrainian media reports, the EU’s independent trade preferences for Ukraine have been implemented since April 23. This move has reduced import taxes on most Ukrainian commodities and brought considerable financial benefits to Ukraine.
EU trade preferences include: reducing import taxes on 94.7% of industrial products and 83.4% of agricultural products. The preferential policies also ensure that chemical products are reduced, of which 15.9% are reduced to zero tax. Although the preferential policy will be implemented for 5 to 6 months, the European Commission will not reduce the annual tariff quota as a whole.
