Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports in February reached US$1.18 billion, down 10.69% from the previous month and 29.53% from the same period last year; exports of cotton yarn were 18,900 tons, down 21.72% from the previous month and 43.13% from the same period last year; exports Cotton cloth was 28 million square meters, an increase of 11.15% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 24.60%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July 2022-February 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$11.219 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 11.02%; exports of cotton yarn were 148,800 US dollars tons, a year-on-year decrease of 36.55%; exports of cotton cloth were 228 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 23.09%.
