Recently, according to statistics from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competition, in the first 10 months of 2013, Spanish textile and apparel exports amounted to 10.2 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 14%.
Data show that from January to October 2013, Spanish clothing exports amounted to 7.3 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%. During the same period, textile and clothing imports amounted to 12.4 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%. Among them, clothing imports were 9.4 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. In October 2013, Spanish textile and apparel exports amounted to 1.2 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. Among them, clothing exports were 878 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%. In October 2013, the import volume of textiles and clothing was 1.3 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, of which clothing imports were 1 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%.
