According to recent news released by the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the fourth part of the Egyptian Tariff Amendment adjusts the commodity tax rate catalog, including textile-related products.
According to the adjusted tax rate catalog, Egypt will impose 10-20% tariffs on woven, woolen and crocheted textiles; clothing and sports equipment, shoes, bags, hats, carpets, cosmetics and skin care products, sanitary napkins 30-40% tariffs are levied on products such as diapers and diapers; 30-35% tariffs are levied on blankets, curtains, sheets and bedspreads, packaging bags, tents and canvases, masks, second-hand clothing, and textiles.
