According to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, on December 30, 2013, Brazil decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese nylon filament. The tax range is 334.78-2409.11 US dollars/ton. The taxation period is 5 years (i.e. the end date is December 27, 2018). The investigation agency also decided to retrospectively tax the products under investigation imported between June 18, 2013 and September 15, 2013 at the final tariff rate.
The case was filed on July 6, 2012, and the countries and regions under investigation include China, Thailand, South Korea and Taiwan. The tax numbers involved are 54023111, 54023119, and 54024520, and the amount involved is US$10.648 million. The Chamber of Commerce organized three companies to respond to the lawsuit.
