The northern Punjab city of Ludhiana is short of buyers after the Holi festival, with traders not keen on striking new deals as buyers are inactive. This sparse trading pattern may continue this week, and the market may find direction next Monday.”

According to TexPro, 30-count combed yarn is priced at Rs 285-295 per kilogram (including GST), and 20-count and 25-count combed yarn is priced at Rs 275-285 per kilogram. and 280-290 rupees, 30 count carded yarn 264-274 rupees per kg.

In Delhi, cotton yarn prices remained stable amid slow trading and limited trading activity. A trader in Delhi said: “The market is still in a festive atmosphere, and it may remain so in the next few days.” In the Delhi market, the price of 30-count combed yarn is 285-290 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax), and the price of 40-count combed yarn is 285-290 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax). Carded yarn costs 315-320 rupees per kilogram, 30-count carded yarn costs 266-270 rupees per kilogram, and 40-count carded yarn costs 295-300 rupees per kilogram.

In Panipat, Haryana, India, recycled yarn prices also show a stable trend. A trade source in Panipat said that recycled cotton yarn prices are hovering at previous levels. The trading price of 10 pieces of recycled PC yarn (grey) is 88-92 rupees per kilogram (excluding consumption tax). The price of 10-count recycled PC yarn (black) is 60-65 rupees per kilogram, 20-count recycled PC yarn (gray) is 105-110 rupees per kilogram, and 30-count recycled PC yarn (gray) is 150-155 rupees per kilogram. The price of combed yarn is 155-160 rupees per kilogram, and the price of recycled polyester fiber (PET bottle fiber) is 74-77 rupees per kilogram.

Spinning mills have no purchasing interest, causing cotton prices in northern India to fall. Cotton arrival volume returned to normal immediately after the Holi Festival, and the arrival volume in northern India is expected to be 15,000 bales (170 kg/bag). However, spinning mills have no incentive to make new purchases because they want to assess future cotton yarn demand. In Punjab, cotton is sold at Rs 6,250-6,325 per bag of 37.2 kg, in Haryana it is Rs 6,250-6,325, in Upper Rajasthan it is Rs 6,450-6,550, and in Lower Rajasthan it is Rs 60,000-62,000 per 365 kg.
