On March 2, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
This recall involves SmokedRunway Company’s ClassicWhimsy brand children’s pajamas, with batch numbers QH2022124, QH2021093, QH2021255, QH2021041, QH2020311, QH2021371, CLW10028, QH2021372, QH 2020195, QH2022085 , QH2021097, QH2021246, QH2020284, QH2021215, QH2021182, CLW8402, QH2021028, CLW4838, CLW7022. Pajamas made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex sold in designs such as Pink Rose, Pink Santa Claus, Birthday Girl, Unicorn, Pumpkin Toile, Pink Bear, Pink Benny Rabbit, Red Plaid Bow; Made of 95% cotton Robes made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex are sold in patterns such as Pink Bunny Peeps, Royal Blue, Birthday, Storybook Bunny, Bows, BunnyDreams and more; Loungewear styles made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex are sold in patterns such as Bows, Christmas cheer Patterns are sold; men’s loungewear styles made of 100% cotton are sold in green gingham, blue gingham patterns. All recalled products are available in sizes ranging from 12 months to 10 years old. The sewn-on white label on the neck is printed with “ClassicWhimsy”, “MadeinChina”, size and batch number.
The product does not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The recalled products were sold in the United States from January 2021 to November 2022, with approximately 7,200 units sold, priced at approximately US$10-35.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
CPSC recommends that you should immediately stop using this product and contact SmockedRunway to learn how to receive prepaid postage and return the pajamas for a full refund of the original method of payment or Store credit for original purchase price.
