In January, Pakistan exported textiles and clothing to US$1.322 billion, down 2.53% month-on-month and 14.83% year-on-year; exported 24,100 tons of cotton yarn, up 39.10% month-on-month and 24.38% year-on-year; exports Cotton cloth was 26 million square meters, a month-on-month decrease of 6.35% and a year-on-year decrease of 30.39%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July 2022-January 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$10.039 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 8.19%; exports of cotton yarn were 129,900 US dollars tons, a year-on-year decrease of 35.47%; exports of cotton cloth were 199 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 22.87%.
