On January 19, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled product is children’s button-type long-sleeved one-piece pajamas under the NewCosplay brand of Shanghai Xunao Elevator Company. The product is made of 100% polyester fiber and is sold in sizes ranging from 4T to 10 years old. It comes in character styles such as pink flying squirrel, gray flying squirrel and brown flying squirrel. The inseam label has fiber content and washing instructions printed on it, and the neck sewn label has the garment’s size and the words “NEWCOSPLAY.”
The product does not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The recalled products were sold in the United States from October 2021 to May 2022. About 2,140 pieces were sold, priced at about US$17-26.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
CPSC recommends that you stop using this product immediately and contact ShanghaiXunaoElevator Company for a full refund.
