On November 1, 2000, Turkey launched an anti-dumping investigation into synthetic long fiber fabrics from mainland China, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan. On February 13, 2002, Turkey began to impose anti-dumping duties on synthetic long fiber fabrics from the above-mentioned countries/regions (see Announcement No. 2002/2). Since then, Turkey has conducted three sunset reviews, respectively on August 1, 2008, January 21, 2015, and January 28, 2021 (see Announcement No. 2021/3), and made affirmative final rulings three times. Extend the tax deadline.
On August 26, 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2021/41, making final anti-circumvention rulings on synthetic long fiber fabrics originating in China. It was ruled that the products involved in the case originating in China were imported to Turkey through Spain, Italy, and Germany to avoid anti-dumping duties, and anti-dumping duties began to be imposed on the products involved in the case from Italy, Spain, and Germany.
