Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$1.421 billion in November, a month-on-month increase of 4.71% and a year-on-year decrease of 18.16%. This was the second consecutive month of year-on-year decline in this fiscal year; exports of cotton yarn were 12,500 tons. , a month-on-month decrease of 5.58%, a year-on-year decrease of 59.70%; the export of cotton cloth was 26 million square meters, a month-on-month decrease of 8.37%, a year-on-year decrease of 29.53%.
In the 2022/23 fiscal year (July-November 2022), Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing reached US$7.361 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.12%, accounting for 61.62% of total merchandise exports %; exported 88,400 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 42.38%; exported 146 million square meters of cotton cloth, a year-on-year decrease of 23.02%.
