Benefiting from the policy dividends brought about by the entry into force of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), Fujian Province’s textile and garment exports have shown a growth trend since this year. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to February this year, the total value of our province’s textile and clothing exports reached 26.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%.
Data shows that private enterprises are the main force in our province’s textile and clothing exports. From January to February, the export of textiles and clothing by private enterprises in our province reached 20.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, accounting for 75.5% of the province’s total textile and clothing export value in the same period; the export of textiles and clothing by foreign-invested enterprises reached 4.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.1% ; The export of textiles and clothing by state-owned enterprises reached 2.52 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 49.8%.
ASEAN, EU and the United States are the main export markets for our province’s textile and apparel products. From January to February, our province’s textile and clothing exports to ASEAN reached 6.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%. Textile and clothing exports to the EU and the United States reached 4.36 billion yuan and 2.93 billion yuan respectively, a year-on-year increase of 17.5% and 12.4% respectively.
