Vietnam’s “VNA” reported on September 23 that according to data from the Vietnam General Administration of Customs, Vietnam’s textile exports have achieved an average monthly export volume of US$3 billion for six consecutive months. It exceeded the $4 billion mark for the first time in a month. Vietnam’s total textile exports from January to August reached US$26 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24%. Its contribution to Vietnam’s export growth is second only to machinery, equipment and spare parts, ranking second among all export commodities.
In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam’s textile and apparel maintained a growth rate of more than 20% in its main export markets. Among them, exports to the United States and the European Union increased by 22.6% and 41.1% respectively; exports to Japan reached US$2.54 billion, an increase of 22%; exports to South Korea reached US$2.14 billion, an increase of 20.5%.
