According to Pakistan’s “Daily Times” report, data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics of Pakistan showed that in the 2009-10 fiscal year (July 2009 to June 2010), Pakistan’s textile exports reached 10.244 billion U.S. dollars, which was 9.572 billion U.S. dollars compared with the previous fiscal year. Compared with US$100 million, an increase of approximately 7%. Among them, the export value in June was US$921 million, 9.81% higher than the US$839 million in June last year.
Broken down by different categories, cotton yarn exports increased from US$1.114 billion to US$1.417 billion, an increase of 27.13%; raw cotton exports increased from US$87 million to US$195 million, an increase of 124%. The export value of other yarns, cotton cloth, carded and combed cotton fell by 100%, 7% and 24% respectively.
In other respects, knitted clothing exports increased by 1.16% from US$1.74 billion to US$1.761 billion; bedding exports decreased slightly by 0.64% from US$1.735 billion to US$1.723 billion; towel exports increased by 5.17% from US$642 million to US$676 million. ; Ready-made garment exports increased by 4.33% from US$1.23 billion to US$1.283 billion.
