India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn

In April, India exported 72,600 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month decrease of 23.74% and a year-on-year decrease of 18.60%. In the 2021/22 fiscal year (August-April) India Exports of cotton yarn were 952,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 19.49%. The main exporting countries and export volume proportions are as follows: exports to Bangladesh reached 402,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 114.64%, accounting for 42.26%; exports to China reached 142,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 31.67%, accounting for 14.99%.
