On February 1, 2022, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that elastic yarn (Elastomeric Filament Yarn) originating in or imported from China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan, China ) made an affirmative final ruling for the first sunset review of anti-dumping, recommending that the products involved in the above-mentioned countries and regions continue to be levied with anti-dumping duties for a period of 5 years, respectively, at US$3.34/kg for China, US$0-1.90/kg for South Korea, and US$0.36-0.36 for Vietnam. US$2.16/kg, US$2.40/kg in Taiwan, China. This case involves products under Indian Customs Code 5404. The products involved are elastic filament yarns with a denier of less than or equal to 150, except colored yarns and beam elastic yarns.

On January 27, 2016, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement to launch restrictions on elastic yarns originating in or imported from China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan, China. An anti-dumping investigation was launched. On March 24, 2017, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made a positive final anti-dumping ruling on the case. On May 3, 2017, the Ministry of Finance of India issued Notification No. 15/2017-Customs (ADD), which levied US$0.48-3.34/kg and US$0-1.90/kg on products involved in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan, respectively. The anti-dumping duties of 0.36-2.16 US dollars/kg and 2.40 US dollars/kg are valid for 5 years until May 2, 2022. On June 30, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Indian company Indorama India Private Limited, it would initiate the first anti-dumping on elastic yarn originating in or imported from China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan, China. A sunset review was filed for investigation.
