Currently, there are 13 cocoon silk enterprises in the Silk Industrial Park, with 254 high-speed rapier looms, accounting for approximately 39.68% of the region; the annual output of silk is more than 8 million meters, accounting for approximately 43% of the region.
The silk art town, supported by the cocoon and silk industry and with a total investment of 3.3 billion yuan, has been included in the first batch of Guangxi characteristic town cultivation lists in the autonomous region and has now entered the construction period.
The introduced China Silk Processing Project makes Mengshan the only county (district) in Guangxi that covers the entire industrial chain from planting to silk spinning, weaving, whitening, fragrant yarn, printing and dyeing, and jacquard.
Mengshan County will also focus on introducing midstream and downstream industries such as silk weaving and garment processing, striving to have more than 500 high-speed rapier looms in the county during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, and the total industrial output value of the Silk Industrial Park to reach 30 With more than 100 million yuan, it will form a regional and even national silkindustrial cluster, build a Guangxi cocoon and silk full industry chain demonstration park, and build a new cocoon and silk weaving city in western China.
