On November 16, 2021, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to affirm anti-dumping industry damage to stretch textured yarn (PolyesterTexturedYarn) imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The final ruling was that the products involved in the case constituted substantial harm to U.S. domestic industries. In this ruling, all five International Trade Commission members voted in the affirmative. According to the affirmative ruling of the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce will issue anti-dumping tax orders on the products involved in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
On November 18, 2020, in response to applications submitted by U.S. domestic enterprises NanYa Plastics Corporation, America and Unifi Manufacturing, Inc. on October 28, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced An anti-dumping investigation was initiated against drawn and textured yarn imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. On May 27, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on drawn textured yarn imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. On October 19, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a final anti-dumping ruling on drawn textured yarn imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
