In the first eight months, the import volume of this product reached US$17.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.4%, equivalent to a net increase of US$4 billion. The origin of this product mainly comes from China, with imports from China reaching US$9.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 35%, accounting for 52%. The rest are South Korea (USD 1.7 billion, an increase of 15%), Taiwan (USD 1.7 billion, an increase of 32%), the United States (USD 1.3 billion, a decrease of 5.1%), and so on.
As of the end of August, Vietnam’s imports from China reached US$72.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 46.1%, accounting for 33.3% of total imports.
