On March 2, the Anti-dumping Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India released a disclosure of the facts of the sunset review of the anti-dumping review of China’s nylon cord fabrics.
Regarding dumping, the Bureau did not grant market economy treatment to the Chinese responding companies, calculated the normal value of Chinese products using the structural price method and determined that it constituted dumping. In terms of damage, although the absolute quantity and market share of imports from China has decreased since the 2005/06 fiscal year, and India’s domestic industry has increased or improved in terms of production capacity, output, sales, employment, productivity, etc., but Dumped imports cause damage to Indian domestic industries in terms of market share, price, capacity utilization, inventory and other aspects. The Bureau also believes that due to China’s severe domestic overcapacity and India being the largest export market for China’s products involved in the case, if the imposition of anti-dumping duties is terminated, India’s domestic industry is more likely to suffer damage again.
