Recently, the Ethiopian Privatization and Public Enterprises Administration announced a list of a batch of public enterprises that are ready to be privatized. The following are the companies announced: Bahirdar Textile Share Company, Awassa Textile Share Company, Adei Abeba Yarn Share Company, etc.
Since the Ethiopian government began to implement the privatization policy in 1995, 170 state-owned enterprises have been privatized.
