On September 14, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held the seventh press conference in the series of themed press conferences on “Industrial and Information Development in the New Era”. The theme was “Promoting the consumer goods industry to increase variety, improve quality and create brands.”
At the press conference, He Yaqiong, Director of the Department of Consumer Goods Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the work of promoting the consumer goods industry to increase varieties, improve quality, and create brands since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, pointing out that the consumer goods industry is the most integrated with people’s lives. The direct and closest industries are my country’s traditional advantageous industries and important people’s livelihood industries, covering all aspects of people’s clothing, food, housing, transportation, education, education, medical care, etc., and play an important role in meeting consumer demand, stimulating economic growth, ensuring and improving people’s livelihood, and absorbing society =”#FF8040″>Employment and the expansion of foreign trade exports play an indispensable and important role, and are the fundamentals for building a solid foundation for the real economy. In the past ten years, the number of regulated enterprises in the consumer goods industry has increased by 23.7%, and the number of employees in regulated enterprises is approximately 27 million. The level of intelligent development has been significantly improved, and the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain and the overall Competitiveness continues to increase. There are 150 consumer goods companies in my country with a scale of tens of billions, and light industry and textile exports account for more than 30% of the world’s exports. Wearable smart devices, functional clothing and other innovativenew products are increasing day by day, personalized customization models are widely promoted, and the consistency of clothing, home appliances, shoemaking and other fields with international standards has reached 95%. Sports shoes, bicycles, and beauty products are not only hot-selling domestically, but also become “hot items” overseas. People’s recognition of “national fashion” brands has increased significantly.
Application fields continue to expand, and industrial competitiveness continues to be consolidated and improved
Cao Xuejun, first-level inspector of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that my country is the world’s largest textile and apparel producer, exporter, and consumer country, with the advantages of a complete industrial chain,Technology Innovationhas moved from “following and running together” to “running alongside and leading”. The digital and green transformation is accelerating, the application fields are constantly expanding, and the industrial competitiveness is continuously consolidated and improved. The specific manifestations are as follows: aspect.
First, the strength of scientific and technological innovation continues to increase. The collaborative innovation mechanism of the textile industry chain continues to improve, and corporate R&D investment continues to increase. The entire industry has built 2 national-level manufacturing innovation centers, 6 national key laboratories, 81 national-level corporate technology centers and other innovative institutions. In fiber materials, A large number of key technological breakthroughs have been made in textile equipment, green manufacturing and other fields, and the independent controllability of the textile industry chain continues to increase.
Second, the reform of production methods has achieved remarkable results. The application of digital and green technologies has promoted the transformation of textile production methods. The digital cotton spinning production line has reduced the number of cotton spinning spindles from 60 to 15 people. The chemical fiber smart factory has realized raw material transportation, process control, automatic winding and packaging and even warehousing. The entire process is digitalized. A number of green factories and green supply chains have been built, and textile production has transformed from large batches to personalized and flexible production, meeting the needs of small batches, multiple varieties, and just-in-time.
Third, the fields of industrial application are constantly expanding. In addition to meeting basic people’s livelihood needs such as clothing and household use, the textile industry continues to expand in industrial application fields. Industrial textiles are widely used in many fields such as medical health, environmental protection, geotechnical construction, aerospace, etc. Industrial textiles such as space suits and deep-sea ropes play a role in key national projects. important role. Especially during the COVID-19 epidemic, my country’s production capacity of industrial textiles such as masks and protective clothing has rapidly expanded, making important contributions to global epidemic prevention and control. The processing volume of industrial textile fibers in 2021 is 19.35 million tons, nearly double that of 2012, accounting for one-third of all fiber processing volume.
Fourth, international cooperation has reached a new level. The textile industry actively relies on mechanisms such as “One Belt and One Road” and RECP to build a mutually beneficial and win-win industrial cooperation system and explore diversified markets. In 2021, the total export volume of textiles and clothing will reach US$315.5 billion, a record high, accounting for more than 30% of the global exports of similar products. Since 2012, the textile industry has invested more than 11 billion US dollars in foreign investment, involving all aspects of the industrial chain such as chemical fiber, spinning and weaving, and clothing. It has strengthened production capacity cooperation with Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions, and established a diversified and flexible supply chain.
Promote the inheritance and innovation of textile intangible cultural heritage and promote the construction of original trendy brands
In recent years, my country’s brand building has achieved remarkable results, especially the rise of national fashion brands, which are loved by consumers. Clothing consumption has shown a trend of personalization, differentiation and convenience. The textile industry continues to strengthen brand building and promote new models such as large-scale personalized customization to meet differentiated consumer needs. Cao Xuejun introduced that with the continuous development of the economy and society, consumers’ personalized, differentiated and diversified consumption needs continue to expand, becoming the main trend of consumption upgrading. To meet differentiated consumption needs, the following three aspects of work are mainly carried out:
First, develop functional fiber materials. Together with relevant departments, we will continue to carry out the 12th Five-Year Plan, the 13th Five-Year Plan and the 14th Five-Year Plan.Determined to release guidance on the development of chemical fibers, support the development of differentiated, functional, and high-performance fibers, release China’s fiber fashion trends, and guide the collaborative innovation of fibers and industrial chains. Currently, chemical fibers are Textile materials account for more than 85%. Functional fiber materials such as conductive intelligence, ecological antibacterial, functional insulation, quick-drying and cooling, and green fibers are being launched and promoted, enriching consumers’ choices for the diversified functionality of textiles.
The second is to cultivate new industry formats and new models. Promote the in-depth application of big data, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and other information technologies in the textile industry, develop three-dimensional body measurement and virtual fitting systems, textile intelligent design and manufacturing systems, promote new models of large-scale personalized customization, segment consumption scenarios and strengthen categories Innovation. Support enterprises to develop online and offline comprehensive marketing, use live broadcast and other methods to directly target consumers for precise promotion, and meet consumers’ personalized, convenient and diversified consumption needs.
The third is to promote the construction of national fashion brands. Continue to carry out the tracking and cultivation of textile and clothing brands, organize pilot demonstrations of textile and clothing creative design parks, support various localities and industries in organizing fashion weeks, design competitions and other activities, promote the inheritance and innovation of textile intangible cultural heritage, and enhance brand cultural confidence. At present, domestic brands occupy a dominant position in domestic textile and apparel consumption. The proportion of original trend brand consumption in brand consumption is rapidly increasing. The awareness, reputation and influence of domestic textile and apparel brands continue to increase.
Regarding the next step, Cao Xuejun said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will implement relevant policies and plans, continue to promote collaborative innovation in the industrial chain, and accelerate the high-end, digital and green transformation and upgrading of the industry , better meet and create new consumer demands, and continue to consolidate and enhance industry competitive advantages. Adhere to the main line of promoting supply-side structural reform, focus on the implementation of the “three products” strategy, cultivate new business formats and new models, and effectively meet the people’s consumption upgrade needs.
