The Dubai Cotton Trading Center (DUBAI COTTON CENTRE, DCC) is scheduled to be put into operation in mid-to-late April. DCC hopes to become a distribution and trading center for Uzbek cotton exports to Asian countries.
Currently, Uzbek cotton exports to Asian countries need to pass through Iran’s Bandar Abbas Port, but uncertainty in shipping schedules often leads to delays. Once the DCC is operational, Uzbek cotton can be shipped directly from Abbas to Dubai for storage and trading.
DCC is affiliated to Dubai Cargo Trading Center (DMCC).
