On May 21, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to domestic enterprises in India, AabhasSpinnersPrivateLimited, Arisudana IndustriesLimited, JaanviSpinnersPrivateLimited, KrishnaGangaSpinningMillsPrivateLimited, ShreeNaganiSilkMillsPrivateLimited, SuryalakshmiCottomMillsLimited , SuryalataSpinningMillsLimited, SuryaudaySpinningMillsPrivateLimited joint application submitted, Launch an anti-dumping investigation into polyester yarn (or polyester staple yarn) [Polyester Yarn (Polyester Spun Yarn)] originating in or imported from China, Indonesia, Nepal, and Vietnam. Products under this investigation do not include dyed polyester yarn, mixed-color polyester yarn or colored polyester yarn and polyester yarn with a yarn count thicker than 8 counts (8scounts) or thinner than 45 counts (45scounts). This case involves products under Indian Customs Code 55092100. The dumping investigation period in this case is from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 (12 months), and the damage investigation period is from April 2016 to March 2017, April 2017 to March 2018, and 2018 April to March 2019 and the dumping investigation period.
