Pakistan launches agricultural subsidy plan to respond to epidemic

According to Pakistan’s “Dawn” report on May 14: On May 13, the Pakistani government approved an agricultural subsidy plan totaling 56.6 billion rupees proposed by the Ministry of Food Security and Research in response to the epidemic. According to the plan, the Pakistani government will provide about 37 billion rupees in direct subsidies to farmers for purchasing chemical fertilizers, 8.8 billion rupees in loan interest subsidies for agricultural loans, 2.3 billion rupees in cotton seed subsidies, and 60 billion rupees in subsidies for white planthopper insecticides. Crores, sales tax subsidy of Rs 250 crore for locally manufactured tractors for one year.
