On December 10, 2019, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s jackets.
The recalled products are various children’s jackets with buttons, beads, etc. on the waist drawstring. The specific recalled products are as follows:
The drawstring of this product may get caught in the vehicle, posing a risk of children being dragged away.
The products recalled were sold in Canada from January 2011 to November 2019, with approximately 56,284 units sold.
As of December 2, 2019, no reports of accidents or casualties have been received.
Health Canada advises consumers to remove drawstrings from clothing immediately to eliminate hidden dangers.
