According to statistics, the price of polyester staple fiber imported from China rose to US$1.21/kg last week, and the price of polyester staple fiber in Pakistan increased sharply. Among them, the price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber increased by 3 rupees to 134 rupees/kg. The amplitude was 2.29%, an increase of 16% compared with the same period last year. The profit of domestic polyester staple fiber production in Pakistan increased by about 20 rupees/kg.
With the price increase of polyester staple fiber and the price of domestic polyester-cotton yarn and polyester-viscose yarn remaining unchanged in Pakistan in the past 10 weeks, the profit margin of Pakistan’s blended yarn production has been compressed. As new cotton came on the market, cotton prices began to fall, and the price of cotton yarn in Pakistan fell again by 1%. The yarn market price in Faisalabad remained relatively stable.
