According to the latest statistics, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached US$3.449 billion in August 2023, a month-on-month increase of 5.53%, which was the fourth consecutive month of growth and a year-on-year decrease of 13.83%. ; Exported yarn was 174,200 tons, a month-on-month increase of 12.13%, a year-on-year increase of 39.85%; imported yarn was 84,600 tons, a month-on-month increase of 8.08%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.57%; imported fabrics were US$1.084 billion, a month-on-month increase of 11.45%, a year-on-year decrease of 10% .
From January to August 2023, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports reached 22.513 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 14.4%; the exported yarn was 1.1628 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%; the imported yarn 672,700 tons of threads, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%; imported fabrics were US$8.478 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 17.8%.
