The leather and textile industry sector is the largest employer in Jordan

Ihab Qadri, a representative of the leather and textile industry sector of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the leather and textile industry sector is the industrial sector with the largest number of employees in Jordan, currently employing more than 100,000 male and female workers. 86,000 (26,000 Jordanian), accounting for 27% of the total employment in the industrial sector.
