According to a report by Pakistan’s “Business Chronicle” on October 29, the National Board of Revenue of Pakistan decided to impose a four-month temporary anti-dumping duty on polyester staple fiber products (PSF) from China, which is valid from October 2015 to February 2016. Except for eight Chinese export companies that face tax rates ranging from 6.41-10.53%, the other Chinese exporters’ anti-dumping tax rates are all 14.92%.
Pakistan Customs stated that they have received instructions from Islamabad to impose anti-dumping duties. According to the relevant provisions of Pakistan’s Customs Law, PSF imported products for processing and re-export will be exempted from temporary anti-dumping duties.
