Vietnam imports 10,000 tons of cotton, mainly from the United States

In July 2015, Vietnam imported 87,000 tons of cotton, a month-on-month decrease of 9.5%; the total import volume was US$140 million, a month-on-month decrease of 9.2%. Vietnam’s cotton imports in July mainly came from the United States (52,000 tons), Australia (5,500 tons), Cote d’Ivoire (4,800 tons), India (3,800 tons), Brazil (2,500 tons) and other places.
From January to July, a total of 622,000 tons of cotton were imported, a year-on-year increase of 39.6%. Among them, the total import volume of US cotton is 318,000 tons, Indian cotton is 103,000 tons, Brazilian cotton is 45,000 tons, and Australian cotton is 10,000 tons.
