On August 3, 2017, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and Belle Investment Corporation jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s nightgowns.
The recalled product is “Richie House” brand children’s nightgown, which is made of 100% polyester. The sizes sold are approximately 4/5~12/14, and there are four different color/print combinations: red/puppy pattern; blue/butterfly pattern; pink and white/polka dot pattern; all pink. Product measurements and the words “RichieHouseLosAngeles” are printed on the sewn-in label at the neck of the robe.
Approximately 1,500 pieces of the recalled products were only sold on the Amazon online store (www.Amazon.com) from December 2015 to March 2017. The unit price is about US$20~22. The reason for the recall is that the above-mentioned nightgowns do not meet the requirements of the US Federal Regulations on the Flammability Standards for Clothing and Textiles, posing a risk of burns. To date, there have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to this use.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products, keep them out of reach of children and contact Richie House for a full refund. The United States issues a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas
