According to a report on the Caribbean Daily website on April 28, the cotton textile factory established by South Korean garment manufacturer SAE-A in Costa Rica has been successfully put into operation. The factory has an investment of US$50 million and a current annual production capacity of 9 million kilograms of yarn. In the future Up to 20 million kilograms.

SAE-A promised to create more jobs and business opportunities for the local area and announced that it would double its existing production capacity. Costa Rica President Luis Solis and Minister of Industry and Commerce Ramos Gonzalez attended the opening ceremony.

As a member of the Dominican Republic-Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement, Costa Rica enjoys privileged access to the U.S. market, which is one of the reasons that attracts companies to invest in it.
