Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached US$1 billion, a year-on-year increase of .%

In January 2015, Vietnam’s cotton textile output was 25.1 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 4.58%, and a month-on-month decrease of 5.99%; polyester and man-made fiber textile output was 60.2 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 13.37%, and a month-on-month decrease of 2.59%; ready-made garments Clothing output was 273 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 10.35% and a month-on-month decrease of 3.94%. It is estimated that in February 2015, the output of cotton textiles will be 18.8 million square meters; the output of polyester and man-made fiber textiles will be 43 million square meters; and the output of ready-made clothing will be 209 million pieces.
In January 2015, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$1.918 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.68% and a month-on-month decrease of 3.62%. Textile and apparel exports are expected to reach US$1.5 billion in February 2015.
In 2014, Vietnam’s cotton textile output totaled 328.1 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 13.02%; polyester and man-made fiber textile output was 727.7 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 19.45%; ready-made clothing output was 3.00 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 9.73%.
In 2014, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$21.22 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.59%.
