U.S. imports of textiles and clothing billions of dollars

In January 2015, the total value of textile and apparel imports into the United States was US$8.557 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.11% and a month-on-month increase of 7.23%. Among them, textile and clothing imports from China were US$3.300 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 10.38%, a month-on-month increase of 11.43%, accounting for 38.57% of the total import share of the United States, an increase of 1.45 percentage points from the previous month; textile and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$847 million, a year-on-year increase of 0.41%. A month-on-month increase of 15.91%, accounting for 9.90% of the total share, an expansion of 0.74 percentage points from the previous month; textile and clothing imports from India were US$584 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.21%, a month-on-month increase of 13.80%, accounting for 6.83% of the total share, an expansion from the previous month 0.39 percentage points.
