Exports to Japan continued to decline, with export value reaching US$3.07 billion, a decrease of 6.6%, accounting for 10.8% of total exports.
Among other major countries and regions, home textile exports to Thailand and India grew rapidly, with export volumes of US$540 million and US$510 million respectively, an increase of 48.9% and 38.9% respectively.
2. Exports from major provinces and cities have maintained growth, with Guangdong growing faster
Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai rank among the top four home textile export provinces and cities in the country, with exports all maintaining growth, with increases of 2.9%, 8.1%, 3.7% and 3.3% respectively; Guangdong ranks fifth, with exports maintaining rapid growth. The increase was 13.3%. In addition, Xinjiang’s border trade exports dropped significantly, by 6.5%, while exports from provinces and cities such as Tianjin, Jiangxi and Hunan grew rapidly, with increases of more than 15%.
