Vietnam’s textile exports will grow significantly

According to a report by the “Vietnam Economic Times” on January 5, Le Tien Truong, vice president of the Vietnam Textile Association and general manager of the Vietnam Textile Group, predicted that in 2015, Vietnam’s textile exports will reach US$28-28.5 billion. During this period, exports increased by more than US$4 billion compared with 2014, setting a new high.
According to reports, Vietnam’s textile industry exports exceeded US$24 billion in 2014, an increase of 19% over last year. Among them, clothing exports exceeded US$21 billion, an increase of 17% over last year, and spinning exports exceeded US$2.1 billion.
According to the report, Le Jin Chang believes that in 2015, Vietnam’s textile products have great potential for the world’s major export markets. In 2014, Vietnam’s textile exports to the United States reached US$9.8 billion, an increase of 12.6% over last year; textile exports to Europe reached US$3.4 billion, an increase of 17% over last year. Le Tan Truong predicts that Vietnam’s exports to the United States will reach 11 billion US dollars in 2015, an increase of 13%; Vietnam’s textile exports to Europe in 2015 are expected to reach more than 4 billion US dollars.
