Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reach US$100 million

In October 2014, Vietnam exported textiles and clothing to US$1.956 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.84% and a month-on-month increase of 0.72%. It is estimated that exports of textiles and clothing in November 2014 will reach US$1.75 billion.
From January to October 2014, Vietnam’s total exports of textiles and clothing reached US$17.665 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.71%.
In October 2014, Vietnam imported 68,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 7.94%; imported 64,000 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 1.59%; and imported fabrics of US$916 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.95%. It is estimated that in November 2014, it will import 70,000 tons of cotton, 65,000 tons of yarn, and US$900 million in fabric imports.
From January to October 2014, Vietnam imported a total of 636,000 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 27.97%; imported yarn 612,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.18%; imported fabrics of US$7.846 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.09%.
